KEMET C0402C152K5RACAUTO 1500pF 50V X7R 10% 0402 Automotive Ceramic Capacitor 90 PCS
Full Description & History
KEMET C0402C152K5RACAUTO automotive-grade multilayer ceramic chip capacitor rated 1500 pF / 1.5 nF, 50 VDC, ±10% tolerance, with X7R dielectric in the compact 0402 / 1005 metric surface-mount package.
This device belongs to KEMET’s automotive X7R MLCC family and carries AEC-Q200 qualification. It is intended for demanding automotive and high-reliability electronic applications where temperature cycling, vibration, long service life, and environmental reliability are important.
The 1500 pF value is useful in filtering, bypassing, signal conditioning, noise suppression, coupling, timing support, and other board-level applications. X7R dielectric provides good capacitance density while supporting operation across approximately -55°C to +125°C.
Original Mouser packaging identifies KEMET, 50 VDC, 1500 pF, X7R dielectric, 0402 package, and country of origin Mexico.
Lifecycle: ACTIVE.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: KEMET developed into one of the major American names in capacitor manufacturing, with roots extending back to early twentieth-century electronic materials and component production. Over many decades the company became particularly associated with ceramic, tantalum, film, and electrolytic capacitors used in industrial, communications, military, aerospace, automotive, computer, and consumer equipment.
KEMET became a major supplier of multilayer ceramic capacitors as electronics moved toward increasingly dense surface-mount construction. MLCC technology stacks alternating ceramic dielectric and internal electrode layers inside one compact body, allowing useful capacitance values in extremely small packages.
The automotive versions of KEMET’s ceramic capacitors were developed for applications requiring additional environmental and reliability qualification. AEC-Q200 qualification is widely used for passive components intended for automotive electronics and subjects components to demanding temperature, humidity, mechanical, and endurance testing.
The 0402 / 1005 metric package measures approximately 1.0 x 0.5 mm. Its small size minimizes PCB area and parasitic effects while allowing placement close to integrated circuits, control electronics, sensors, and high-speed signal paths.
X7R is a Class II ceramic dielectric designed for operation over approximately -55°C to +125°C with capacitance variation controlled within ±15% across temperature. It provides substantially greater capacitance density than C0G / NP0 and is widely used for filtering, decoupling, bypassing, and general signal-conditioning applications.
This exact automotive KEMET part remains active production stock, making these original distributor-packaged devices suitable both for modern electronic work and long-term repair inventory.
Unused new old stock from legacy inventory. Packaging, age, and cosmetic condition may vary.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.
