What is RF Boneyard™?
RF Boneyard™ is a parts source and salvage-style marketplace for people repairing, restoring, testing, and keeping older electronic equipment alive.
Inventory may include discontinued components, vintage RF parts, semiconductors, capacitors, relays, connectors, fuses, switches, knobs, donor boards, test equipment parts, and other hard-to-find repair stock.
Is RF Boneyard™ only for ham radio parts?
No. RF Boneyard™ has a strong RF, ham radio, and CB radio repair foundation, but the site is broader than that.
The Boneyard also serves electronics repair technicians, vintage audio restorers, bench hobbyists, collectors, experimenters, makers, schools, and anyone hunting for obsolete or difficult-to-source components.
What kinds of parts do you sell?
Typical inventory may include vintage RF parts, CB radio parts, ham radio parts, donor boards, NOS surplus, semiconductors, RF transistors, MOSFETs, relays, capacitors, coils, inductors, fuses, connectors, adapters, switches, knobs, hardware, audio repair parts, and test bench parts.
Stock changes as parts are found, sorted, tested, photographed, and listed.
Are the parts new, used, NOS, or salvage?
Inventory varies by item. Some parts are NOS or NOS-style surplus. Some are new old stock, some are used pulls, some are donor-board parts, and some are salvage parts from vintage equipment.
Always read the individual product listing for condition, quantity, package type, markings, test notes, compatibility notes, and any as-is wording.
Are parts tested?
Some parts are bench-tested, sampled, measured, inspected, or verified when practical. Other parts may be listed as untested, surplus, donor-pull, parts-only, or as-is.
RF Boneyard™ tries to describe parts honestly, but vintage and surplus electronic parts can have age-related behavior. Buyers should test parts before installing them into valuable equipment.
Do you guarantee that a repair will work?
No. RF Boneyard™ sells parts and provides general bench information, but we do not guarantee repair success, compatibility, performance, labor outcome, response time, or technical results.
The buyer is responsible for safe installation, testing, troubleshooting, and final use of all parts and information.
What does donor board mean?
A donor board is a circuit board removed from equipment that may be useful for parts recovery, repair, restoration, or reference.
Donor boards may contain valuable original parts, but they may also have faults, missing parts, modifications, age, or unknown history. Read the listing carefully before buying donor boards.
What does NOS or NOS-style mean?
NOS means new old stock. NOS-style means the part appears unused or surplus-stock style, but the complete original storage history may not always be known.
Because many parts are vintage, surplus, or sourced from older inventory, RF Boneyard™ describes condition as clearly as possible based on available information.
Can I use RF Boneyard™ parts for vintage audio repair?
Yes. RF Boneyard™ may carry parts useful for vintage audio repair, amplifier restoration, receiver repair, test gear repair, and other legacy electronics work.
Possible inventory includes capacitors, semiconductors, relays, fuses, switches, connectors, hardware, donor boards, and other restoration components.
Can I request a hard-to-find part?
Yes. RF Boneyard™ is built around the idea of helping people find parts that are hard to locate through normal suppliers.
If you do not see what you need, use the Wanted Parts, contact, or quote-request features when available. Not every request can be filled, but wanted requests help guide future inventory hunting.
Why do some items use Request Quote?
Some parts, rare items, bulk lots, special inventory, heavy items, or member deals may require a quote instead of a standard cart checkout.
Quote items may depend on quantity, condition, rarity, shipping weight, availability, special handling, or custom buyer needs.
Do you sell bulk lots?
Yes. Some items may be available as singles, small packs, assortments, or larger bulk lots.
Bulk availability depends on current inventory. For larger quantities or special lots, use the quote request option when available.
How does Free U.S. Shipping $25+ work?
Automatic free standard U.S. shipping applies when the cart reaches $25.00 or more in eligible merchandise. The qualifying subtotal is based on the actual eligible merchandise price in the cart, including any applicable RF Bench Pass member pricing.
Hawaii, international destinations, products marked Exclude from Free Domestic Shipping, and Special Handling merchandise are excluded from the automatic free-shipping offer. See the Shipping Policy for full details.
Does Special Handling count toward the $25 free-shipping minimum?
No. Special Handling merchandise does not count toward the $25 qualifying subtotal. If the rest of the eligible merchandise independently reaches $25.00, the normal base shipping may be free while the Special Handling charge still remains.
Do RF Bench Pass members receive a discount?
Eligible products may receive a 5% RF Bench Pass member discount when the member is logged in. The cart uses the member-adjusted eligible merchandise price when determining the $25 free-shipping threshold.
Not every product is necessarily eligible for a member discount. The product page and cart show the applicable member pricing.
Do I need to click Update Shipping or refresh the cart?
No. When you change the shipping country or state in the cart, RF Boneyard automatically refreshes the shipping, sales-tax, and checkout totals for the selected destination.
Do you ship internationally?
Some items may be available for international shipping depending on destination, weight, restrictions, carrier service, and shipping cost. International destinations do not qualify for the automatic Free U.S. Shipping $25+ offer.
International buyers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, import fees, local rules, and any import restrictions in their country. See the Shipping Policy for current international shipping information.
Are these parts safe to install?
Electronic repair work can be dangerous. Some equipment contains high voltage, stored capacitor charge, RF energy, heat, sharp metal, or other hazards.
Parts should be installed only by someone who understands safe electronics repair practices. Always discharge capacitors, verify polarity, check ratings, inspect parts, and test carefully before powering equipment.
Can I return a part?
Return eligibility depends on the item type, condition, installation status, and listing terms. Any return request must generally be made within 7 days of delivery unless a different period is stated in the product listing or order communication.
Installed, soldered, modified, overheated, physically damaged, or incorrectly ordered parts may not be eligible for return. See the Return Policy before purchasing.
Why are some parts listed as rare or hard-to-find?
Many older electronic components are discontinued, obsolete, no longer manufactured, or difficult to source from normal suppliers.
RF Boneyard™ focuses on these harder-to-find parts so repair hobbyists, restorers, and technicians have another place to search before giving up on older equipment.
How often is new inventory added?
New inventory is added as parts are found, sorted, tested, photographed, and listed.
