Taiyo Yuden JMK105BJ474KVHF 0.47uF 6.3V 10% X5R 0402 Ceramic Capacitor 80 PCS
Full Description & History
Taiyo Yuden JMK105BJ474KVHF multilayer ceramic chip capacitor rated 0.47 uF, 6.3 VDC, ±10% tolerance, with X5R dielectric in the compact 0402 / 1005 metric surface-mount package.
This high-capacitance MLCC is suitable for bypassing, decoupling, power-rail filtering, signal conditioning, and general board-level repair where a compact 470 nF ceramic capacitor is required. X5R dielectric provides substantially greater capacitance density than Class I ceramics while maintaining useful performance across normal electronic equipment operating temperatures.
Original Mouser distributor packaging identifies Taiyo Yuden JMK105BJ474KVHF, 0.47 uF, 6.3 VDC, 0402 package. Label indicates country of origin Japan and date code 2121.
Lifecycle: NOT VERIFIED.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: Taiyo Yuden was founded in Japan in 1950 by Hikohachi Sato and developed into one of Japan’s major manufacturers of passive electronic components. The company became especially important in ceramic capacitors, inductors, ferrite components, recording media, RF components, and other miniature parts used throughout consumer, communications, computer, automotive, and industrial electronics.
Taiyo Yuden became particularly well known for multilayer ceramic capacitor technology as electronic equipment demanded greater capacitance in progressively smaller packages. MLCC construction stacks multiple alternating ceramic dielectric and metal electrode layers inside a single compact body, allowing much greater capacitance than traditional single-layer ceramic designs.
The 0402 package measures approximately 1.0 x 0.5 mm and became a major standard for high-density surface-mount electronics. Components this small allowed designers to place large numbers of bypass and decoupling capacitors close to IC power pins while reducing PCB area and lead inductance.
The JMK105 family represents Taiyo Yuden’s 6.3 V ceramic capacitor range in the 0402 / 1005 package class. The 0.47 uF value provides substantially more capacitance than traditional small-value RF ceramic capacitors while retaining the extremely compact dimensions required by modern surface-mount boards.
X5R is a Class II ceramic dielectric designed for relatively high capacitance density. It is commonly used for power-supply bypassing, digital IC decoupling, filtering, regulator support, and general-purpose electronic circuits where compact size and capacitance are more important than the extreme temperature stability offered by C0G/NP0 materials.
Japanese-manufactured Taiyo Yuden passive components have a strong reputation among electronics manufacturers and repair technicians, making original distributor-stock parts useful for both production replacement and long-term bench inventory.
Unused new old stock from legacy inventory. Packaging, age, and cosmetic condition may vary.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.
