Electron XG.5-473D 0.047uF 50VDC 5% Vintage Capacitor
Full Description & History
Vintage Electron XG.5-473D axial capacitor marked .047 MFD ±5% and 50VDC. Metal-cased axial construction with wire leads. Nominal capacitance is 0.047uF / 47nF. Bench tested at 47.75nF using a DE-5000 LCR meter and PASSED the marked ±5% capacitance tolerance. Suitable for vintage stereo equipment, audio amplifiers, linear amplifiers, radios, test equipment, and restoration projects where the electrical specifications match.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: Capacitors in the 0.047uF range have been widely used in vintage electronic equipment for coupling, bypass, filtering, tone-control, and other signal applications. Components of this older construction are particularly useful to restorers working on vintage stereo receivers, audio amplifiers, radio equipment, linear amplifiers, and period electronics where older-style components may be desirable.
Legacy or discontinued stock no longer in normal production flow. Future supply may be limited.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.
