Murata LQG15HN3N3S02D 3.3nH 0402 RF Chip Inductor 120 PCS
Full Description & History
120 PCS Murata LQG15HN3N3S02D high-frequency fixed chip inductors with a nominal inductance of 3.3 nH in the miniature 0402 surface-mount package.
These inductors have a tolerance of approximately ±0.3 nH and are intended for high-frequency RF applications where very small inductance values are required.
The LQG15H family is designed for use in RF matching networks, impedance-matching circuits, filters, oscillators, resonant networks, wireless communications equipment, antenna circuitry, RF front ends, and other high-frequency electronic applications.
The 0402 package measures approximately 1.0 x 0.5 mm, allowing these inductors to be positioned extremely close to RF ICs, filters, amplifiers, mixers, and antenna networks where minimizing PCB trace length and parasitic effects is important.
The original Mouser distributor package identifies Murata fixed-inductor stock and country of origin Japan.
LIFECYCLE STATUS: NOT VERIFIED
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
Murata Manufacturing was founded in Japan in 1944 and became one of the world's leading manufacturers of ceramic and high-frequency electronic components.
The company became especially important in capacitors, inductors, resonators, filters, RF modules, sensors, and other passive components used throughout communications, computing, automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.
As radio systems moved into increasingly high frequencies, traditional wound inductors became difficult to use in very small circuit layouts. Even short component leads and PCB traces can contribute unwanted inductance and capacitance at VHF, UHF, microwave, and wireless frequencies.
Miniature surface-mount chip inductors were developed to provide predictable inductance values while minimizing these unwanted parasitic effects.
Inductance values in the single-digit nanohenry range, such as 3.3 nH, are particularly important in RF circuits. At these frequencies, only a very small inductance may be needed to tune an amplifier, create an impedance-matching network, resonate with a capacitor, or shape a filter response.
The 0402 package became particularly useful in RF engineering because its tiny physical dimensions allow the component to be mounted very close to the active circuitry. Shorter current paths help reduce stray inductance and capacitance that can alter circuit behavior at high frequencies.
Murata's LQG families became widely used in cellular radios, wireless devices, RF modules, communications equipment, GPS hardware, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi circuitry, RF test designs, and other high-frequency electronics.
These Japanese-made components represent the type of miniature precision passive component that made increasingly compact wireless electronics possible during the modern RF era.
