ITT 7413N Dual 4-Input NAND Schmitt Trigger TTL Logic IC DIP-14 Arcade Repair NOS 1 PCS
Full Description & History
1 PCS original ITT 7413N TTL logic integrated circuit in a 14-pin DIP package. Device is marked ITT, 7413 N, with production marking 7601.
The 7413N contains two independent 4-input NAND gates with Schmitt-trigger inputs. The Schmitt-trigger design provides input hysteresis, allowing the device to convert slowly changing or noisy input signals into clean digital transitions. This made the 7413 useful for signal conditioning, timing, control logic, switch interfacing, pulse shaping, and other functions in arcade machines, computers, industrial controls, instrumentation, and vintage digital electronics.
LIFECYCLE: OBSOLETE. The original ITT-manufactured 7413N is a discontinued legacy semiconductor. The 7413 logic function has been produced by multiple semiconductor manufacturers, but original vintage ITT 7413N devices are no longer current-production ITT components.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
The 7413 belongs to the classic 7400-series TTL logic family that became fundamental to digital electronics during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Unlike a conventional NAND gate, the 7413 incorporates Schmitt-trigger inputs that provide hysteresis and improved operation with slowly changing or noisy signals.
This made the 7413 especially useful where mechanical switches, timing networks, analog-derived signals, or other imperfect digital inputs needed to be converted into reliable logic transitions.
The 7413 has documented use in classic arcade hardware. Atari's Anti-Aircraft II parts documentation specifies a 7413 integrated circuit, and Atari's 1976 Le Mans arcade hardware also lists the 7413 among the TTL devices used on its circuitry. These documented applications establish the 7413 as a genuine vintage arcade logic component.
Early arcade machines often relied on large numbers of individual TTL devices for game logic, timing, video generation, input conditioning, control circuitry, and signal processing. The exact semiconductor manufacturer installed on a particular board could vary, so this ITT-branded 7413N should be considered a period-correct vintage replacement where a compatible standard 7413 TTL device is specified.
Unused new old stock from legacy inventory. Packaging, age, and cosmetic condition may vary.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.

Compatible Radios / Boards
Suitable for vintage electronic equipment requiring a compatible standard 7413 dual 4-input NAND Schmitt-trigger TTL device. The 7413 function is documented in classic Atari arcade hardware including Anti-Aircraft II and Le Mans. It may also be applicable to other arcade boards, vintage computers, industrial controls, instrumentation, test equipment, and digital electronics. Buyer should verify supply voltage, pinout, input characteristics, TTL loading requirements, board location, and exact circuit compatibility before installation.
