ITT 7421N Dual 4-Input AND Gate TTL Logic IC DIP-14 Arcade Repair NOS 1 PCS
Full Description & History
1 PCS original ITT 7421N TTL logic integrated circuit in a 14-pin DIP package. Device is marked ITT, 7421 N, with production marking 7617.
The 7421N contains two independent 4-input AND gates. This classic 7400-series TTL device was designed for digital gating, control logic, address decoding, timing, signal qualification, video support, and other logic functions used throughout early digital electronics.
The 7421 logic function is appropriate for vintage arcade-board repair where a compatible 7421 TTL device is specified. It was also used in computers, industrial controls, instrumentation, communications equipment, and other digital systems built around standard TTL logic.
This listing is for one individual device. Two NOS devices are currently available.
LIFECYCLE: OBSOLETE. The original ITT-manufactured 7421N is a discontinued legacy semiconductor. The 7421 logic function has existed from other semiconductor manufacturers, but original vintage ITT 7421N devices are no longer current-production ITT components.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
The 7421 belongs to the classic 7400-series TTL logic family that became one of the foundations of digital electronic design during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
Inside the device are two independent four-input AND gates. Compared with simpler two-input gates, the four-input design allowed circuit designers to require several logic conditions to be present simultaneously before generating an output. This made the 7421 useful in decoding, control, timing, enable, video, and state-logic circuits.
Early arcade machines frequently depended on large numbers of individual 7400-series logic ICs rather than the highly integrated custom devices used in later systems. TTL devices performed game-control, timing, address-decoding, video-generation, memory-support, and interface functions throughout arcade circuit boards.
The exact semiconductor manufacturer installed on a particular arcade board could vary. This original ITT-branded 7421N should therefore be considered a period-correct vintage replacement where a compatible standard 7421 TTL device is specified rather than being represented as the original factory brand for every arcade machine.
Legacy or discontinued stock no longer in normal production flow. Future supply may be limited.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.

Compatible Radios / Boards
Suitable for vintage electronic equipment requiring a compatible standard 7421 dual 4-input AND gate TTL device. Appropriate for classic arcade-board repair, vintage computers, industrial controls, instrumentation, test equipment, and other digital electronics where the circuit specifies a compatible 7421. Buyer should verify supply voltage, pinout, TTL loading requirements, board location, and exact circuit compatibility before installation.
