HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: NTC thermistors became important temperature-sensing components as electronic equipment increasingly required compact and inexpensive thermal monitoring directly on the circuit board. Their resistance decreases predictably as temperature rises, allowing control circuits to measure temperature without a complex semiconductor sensor. Murata's NCP series brought this function into extremely small surface-mount packages suited to battery equipment, power supplies, consumer electronics, communications hardware, control boards, and other densely populated assemblies. The NCP15WF104F03RC is now classified NRND, meaning Not Recommended for New Designs, making original NOS stock particularly useful for servicing existing equipment and matching legacy board specifications.
Unused new old stock from legacy inventory. Packaging, age, and cosmetic condition may vary.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.
Compatible Radios / Boards
Suitable for circuit boards requiring a 100K ohm, 1%, 0402 NTC thermistor with matching B-value characteristics. Useful for temperature sensing, thermal compensation, battery monitoring, power supplies, control electronics, communications equipment, instrumentation, consumer electronics, and legacy PCB repair. Verify resistance curve, B constant, footprint, and circuit requirements before installation.
