MURATA ZRB18AR61E106ME01L 10UF 25V X5R 0603 SMD MLCC ACOUSTIC NOISE REDUCTION CAPACITOR 95 PACK
$12.00
Lot of 95 genuine Murata ZRB18AR61E106ME01L multilayer ceramic capacitors supplied from original Mouser Electronics distributor stock.
These components provide 10uF capacitance with ±20% tolerance and a 25VDC rating using X5R ceramic dielectric technology in the compact 0603 / 1608 metric surface-mount footprint.
Unlike a conventional general-purpose 0603 MLCC, the Murata ZRB series incorporates an interposer termination structure designed to help reduce mechanical vibration transmitted between the ceramic capacitor and the PCB. This makes the series particularly useful in applications where MLCC acoustic noise, board flex, and mechanical stress are concerns.
This listing includes all 95 capacitors as one lot.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
Murata developed the ZRB series as a specialized variation of the traditional multilayer ceramic capacitor for applications where mechanical vibration and audible capacitor noise can become problematic.
High-capacitance Class II ceramic capacitors can exhibit piezoelectric behavior. Under changing voltage conditions, the ceramic element can mechanically expand and contract slightly. When mounted directly to a PCB, this movement can excite the circuit board and produce audible noise.
The ZRB series addresses this issue by mounting the MLCC element on an interposer structure that helps isolate the ceramic body mechanically from the PCB. The result is reduced transmission of vibration into the circuit board compared with a conventional directly terminated MLCC.
This construction makes ZRB capacitors especially useful in power supplies, consumer electronics, audio-sensitive equipment, communications electronics, display systems, embedded electronics, and other circuits where audible MLCC noise or board stress may be undesirable.
The ZRB18AR61E106ME01L remains an active Murata component family member and continues to be distributed for current electronic designs.
PART NUMBER IDENTIFICATION:
ZRB identifies Murata's acoustic-noise-reduction multilayer ceramic capacitor series using an interposer structure.
18 identifies the approximately 0603 / 1608 metric size class.
R6 identifies the X5R temperature characteristic.
1E identifies the 25V rated-voltage class.
106 identifies the nominal 10uF capacitance value.
M identifies ±20% capacitance tolerance.
The remaining characters identify Murata construction, termination, and packaging configuration.
Unused new old stock from legacy inventory. Packaging, age, and cosmetic condition may vary.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.
Compatible Radios / Boards
Suitable for PCB assembly, repair, restoration, prototyping, regulator output filtering, power-supply decoupling, digital circuitry, embedded systems, communications electronics, audio-sensitive equipment, industrial controls, consumer electronics, and designs where MLCC acoustic noise reduction is desirable.
May replace another 10uF 25V X5R 0603 ceramic capacitor when the required capacitance, tolerance, voltage rating, footprint, dielectric characteristics, height clearance, and circuit conditions are compatible.
Because the ZRB uses an interposer structure, users replacing a conventional MLCC should verify physical height and board-clearance requirements.
As with other high-value X5R ceramic capacitors, effective capacitance can decrease when DC bias is applied. Circuit designers and repair technicians should account for DC-bias behavior when capacitance under operating voltage is critical.
