Cornell Dubilier CDE MMW2W1 1uF 200VDC Metallized Polyester Axial Capacitor Vintage 1pc
$12.95
Vintage Cornell Dubilier CDE MMW2W1 axial film capacitor rated 1.0 MFD (1uF) at 200 VDC. This listing is for one individual capacitor.
Original body markings include MMW 2W1, 1.0 MFD, 200 V.D.C. and the Cornell Dubilier CDE identification mark.
The original Cornell Dubilier MMW series was a tubular metallized-polyester capacitor family designed for compact axial through-hole applications. CDE described the MMW construction as a tightly wound metallized polyester film dielectric enclosed in a protective film wrapper with epoxy-sealed ends. The series was intended for miniature transistorized circuits as well as military, industrial and commercial electronic equipment.
This specific MMW2W1 configuration was cataloged as a 1.0 MFD, 200 VDC axial capacitor.
HISTORICAL:
The MMW2W1 belongs to Cornell Dubilier's earlier generation of American axial film capacitors used during the era when point-to-point and through-hole construction dominated electronic equipment. These original CDE components are now encountered primarily as vintage or surplus parts and can be desirable for period-correct restoration, vintage audio equipment, radios, test equipment, instrumentation and other legacy electronics where an original-style axial component is preferred.
The MMW series is now a legacy/obsolete Cornell Dubilier capacitor family and is no longer part of CDE's current mainstream capacitor lineup.
This individual capacitor has visible age and storage wear consistent with an original vintage component. Actual capacitance was measured before listing at 1053 nF, equivalent to 1.053uF, approximately 5.3% above its nominal 1.0uF rating.
Legacy or discontinued stock no longer in normal production flow. Future supply may be limited.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.
Compatible Radios / Boards
Suitable for vintage electronic restoration or replacement applications requiring a 1.0uF 200VDC axial film capacitor where the electrical rating, dimensions, dielectric type and lead configuration are appropriate. Buyer should verify circuit requirements before installation.
RF Boneyard Bench Notes
Capacitance tested at 1053 nF (1.053uF). Approximately +5.3% from the marked 1.0uF nominal value. Capacitance test only; no high-voltage leakage or full working-voltage stress test performed.
