JJ Electronic ECC83S 12AX7 High-Gain Vacuum Tube - Closely Balanced B&K 747 Tested
$24.95
Genuine JJ Electronic ECC83S/12AX7 high-gain dual-triode vacuum tube suitable for guitar amplifiers, bass amplifiers, hi-fi equipment, stereo systems, microphone preamplifiers, driver stages, and phase-inverter circuits.
This individual tube was bench tested on a B&K Model 747 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Both triode sections tested at the extreme upper end of the GOOD range. Triode Section 1 measured approximately 115, while Triode Section 2 measured approximately 120. The two sections are closely balanced, with approximately four percent difference between their readings.
The ECC83S is a nine-pin high-mu dual triode electrically equivalent to the 12AX7 and 7025 tube families. This tube is offered as an individually tested replacement for compatible audio and musical-instrument equipment.
Historical Note: The ECC83 is the European designation for the 12AX7, one of the most widely used high-gain preamplifier tubes in audio history. JJ Electronic continued production of this classic tube design for modern guitar amplifiers, professional audio equipment, hi-fi systems, and replacement applications.
