Sovtek 12AX7WXT ECC83 Russian Vacuum Tube - Closely Balanced B&K 747 Tested
$34.95
Genuine Sovtek 12AX7WXT high-gain dual-triode vacuum tube manufactured in Russia. This tube has the original Sovtek markings, including a visible 98 production marking, and is suitable for guitar amplifiers, hi-fi equipment, tube preamplifiers, driver stages, and phase-inverter circuits.
This individual tube was bench tested on a B&K Model 747 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Both triode sections tested strongly within the GOOD range at approximately 90 on the tester scale. The two sections produced nearly identical readings and are closely balanced.
The 12AX7WXT is a nine-pin high-mu dual triode compatible with many circuits designed for the 12AX7 and ECC83 tube families. The tube shown in the photographs is the actual tube being sold.
Historical Note: Sovtek introduced Russian-manufactured vacuum tubes to the international guitar-amplifier and audio markets during the late twentieth century. The 12AX7WXT was one of the company’s earlier high-gain preamplifier-tube variants and is commonly associated with amplifiers and replacement-tube production from the 1990s. This tube carries a visible 98 marking consistent with that period.
