Genuine Sovtek 12AX7LPS high-gain dual-triode vacuum tube featuring long-plate construction and a spiral-wound filament designed to help reduce heater-related hum. The 12AX7LPS is commonly used in guitar amplifiers, hi-fi equipment, tube preamplifiers, driver stages, and phase-inverter circuits.
This individual tube was bench tested on a B&K Model 747 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. The first triode section tested strongly within the GOOD range at approximately 100 on the tester scale. The second triode section pegged the meter at the upper end of the scale. Because the two triode sections produced different readings, this tube is not represented as balanced or matched. The tube shown in the photographs is the actual tube being sold.
Historical Note: Sovtek vacuum tubes were manufactured in Russia and distributed internationally by New Sensor Corporation. The 12AX7LPS was developed as a long-plate, spiral-filament version of the traditional 12AX7 and became popular in guitar amplifiers, professional audio equipment, and hi-fi tube circuits.

RF Boneyard Bench Notes
Bench tested on a B&K Model 747 Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester. Triode Section 1 tested strongly in the GOOD range at approximately 100 on the tester scale. Triode Section 2 pegged at the upper end of the meter scale beyond the accurately readable range. Heater operation confirmed and no shorts indication was observed. Triode sections are not balanced or matched. Actual test photographs are included.
