Large IC Nippon Chemi-Con LBBM made in Japan 15000µF 63V aluminum electrolytic capacitor rated for 85°C operation. This high-capacitance snap-in style capacitor is suitable for power supply filtering, amplifier power rails, industrial equipment repair, communications equipment, DC filter banks, test equipment service, and vintage electronics restoration. Large-value electrolytic capacitors like this are commonly used where high ripple capacity, bulk energy storage, and stable DC filtering are needed.
Historical Note:
Large aluminum electrolytic capacitors in the 10000µF to 15000µF range became common in power supplies, audio amplifiers, industrial controls, and communications equipment from the late 1970s through the 1990s. These capacitors were often used as main filter capacitors in linear power supplies and high-current DC power sections.
