BDX65A Vintage TO-3 NPN Darlington Power Transistor
$14.99
Original BDX65A NPN Darlington power transistor housed in the rugged TO-3 metal can package. This device incorporates an internal shunt resistor and exhibits the higher base-emitter voltage characteristics expected of a Darlington transistor configuration. Suitable for industrial controls, relay drivers, motor control circuits, power switching applications, power supplies, automation equipment, and electronics repair projects. Professionally tested and verified functional with no measurable collector leakage.
Historical Note:
The BDX-series Darlington transistors became popular during the 1970s and 1980s for industrial, commercial, and power control applications. Darlington devices provided very high current gain and simplified driver circuit design, making them common in motor controllers, relay drivers, power supplies, and automation equipment.
Legacy or discontinued stock no longer in normal production flow. Future supply may be limited.
Pipeline quantities are informational and may change after arrival, inspection, sorting, testing, or donor teardown.
