Original Motorola TIP32A PNP silicon power transistor in the industry-standard TO-220 package. This bench-tested device is suitable for repair, restoration, replacement, and new-design applications requiring a medium-power PNP bipolar transistor. The TIP32A is commonly found in audio amplifiers, regulated power supplies, voltage regulator circuits, relay drivers, industrial control equipment, communications gear, test equipment, and general-purpose switching applications.

This Motorola-marked device exhibited exceptionally strong gain during RF Boneyard™ bench testing with no measurable leakage and excellent saturation performance. Original Motorola semiconductors remain popular among restorers and technicians seeking period-correct replacement parts for vintage electronic equipment.

Whether used in a repair project, restoration build, donor board replacement, or spare-parts inventory, this device represents a reliable vintage Motorola semiconductor that has been individually verified before listing.
Historical Note

The TIP31 and TIP32 transistor family became one of the most successful general-purpose power transistor series produced during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Manufactured by Motorola and numerous other semiconductor companies, these devices became standard components in consumer electronics, communications equipment, industrial controls, test instruments, power supplies, and audio amplifiers worldwide.

Motorola-produced examples are especially desirable among restorers because many original circuit designs were engineered around Motorola semiconductor production. As older equipment continues to age and original replacement stock becomes harder to locate, tested Motorola-branded TIP32A devices remain valuable repair and restoration components.
