Original Motorola 2N3716 NPN silicon power transistor housed in the rugged TO-3 metal can package. This vintage Motorola semiconductor has been individually bench tested by RF Boneyard™ and verified for gain, junction integrity, saturation voltage, and collector leakage performance.
The 2N3716 was commonly used in industrial control systems, power supply assemblies, amplifier circuits, motor drive equipment, and other applications requiring a reliable power transistor. Testing confirmed healthy transistor action with good gain characteristics, low saturation voltage, and no measurable collector leakage.
